From start to finish, this piece represents a part of me that I have turned into a forever memory of a love I have lost. Snake Bound, represented with two hands adorned by a coiled up snake, my beloved pet Hoso, who has been taken away from me by this past lover. Though, he wasn’t our snake to begin with. An old friend of mine moved to Texas and left her pets behind. I couldn’t bare to lose them to so I asked my love if she could keep him for me since I still live at my parents house and couldn’t keep him there. She followed through with this idea and we took care of him together. He was my baby and she knew that the day she broke up with me and used that to her advantage. I lost not only her but my beloved pet as well.

I love you, Hoso.

“Though I may be physically far, I am still ever so close. I am bounded to you and the gift that you have stole.”
